Course Description: Using a sharpie, pen and ink to create your own day book as you explore your surroundings. Record the events and people in your life in a simple and elegant personal style. Take your beautiful hard bound journal home and continue your exploration. Instructor Bios: Lisa lives in Lake George and is the art teacher at St. Mary’s School. She uses various mediums to create her artwork and has work on display in Art in the Attic. Course Description: Mailboxes will be primed and ready to paint. Lisa will assist each participant in selecting and designing the concept for each individual mailbox and teach the strokes and paint applications. Course Description: How to use calligraphy pens – you will be taught technique, alphabet styles and embellishments. Instructor Bios: Carol & Ann joke that they have 50,000 years of experience teaching art, but seriously, they do have an impressive 37 years of art instruction between them. Course Description: Create your very own Adirondack style wreath, using various materials and embellishments to display your own taste and décor style. Instructor Bios: Cindy McKenna is a Schroon Lake resident and well known local Artisan and craftswoman. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Make Your Own Mosaic – Instructor Patti Mehm Sunday, September 13th & 20th 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Maximum 8 participants Cost: $50 pp – Project materials and basic supplies included Course Description: Participants will be able to choose from different entry level projects. This is an entry level workshop which will provide a basic understanding of mosaic techniques and applications, using ceramic tiles, stained glass, and “bits & pieces”. The first class will be used to complete the layout and attachment of the design, the second class will complete the project with grouting and sealing. Instructor Bios: Store owner Patti Mehm is self taught. Her knowledge of the skill and her passion for the craft will enable others to enjoy this ancient art form. Advance enrollment is strongly suggested as workshop space is limited (most of last seasons classes were full), if there is space available, walk-ins will be accommodated.
